Sensorimotor Integration

How does the brain monitor the location of the limbs and guide movement? This lab uses a range of techniques to study the primate brain, including single neuron physiology, electrical stimulation and anatomical tract tracing to address these questions. The lab studies mainly two interconnected structures at the center of sensory-motor processing: the parietal lobe and motor cortex. By studying these different sensorimotor brain areas, we hope to understand the different stages of information processing.
